Story
Sassy and her sister were dumped in a small local marketplace. They were found seeking refuge in the toilet.
Both near death, with an extremely bad case of hookworm. They required around the clock care for weeks, and it was months before they were healthy enough to be vaccinated and adopted. These two little girls were famous for being the quietest puppies ever! They never barked, growled or made any normal dogs noises… instead they grunted like little piglets!
Her sister Grunt, found her for-ever home. And Sassy was also adopted initially, but there were issues with her being snappy and the family had young children, so she was returned to BARC.
She really is a huge sweety and just needs some socialization skills somewhere that she can feel safe and loved. We would love to place her in a long term foster care, where there are no young children in order to prepare her for a permanent for-ever home.
Update: Sassy is particular with people and bites, due to her past she would need a strong dedicated patient owner.
