Adoption days are an integral part of any rescue & rehabilitation program. At BARC things are no different. After rehabilitation, vaccination & sterilization most of our dogs/puppies are then ready to go up adoption. One of the keys is always to find the right, loving home!
VILLAGE ADOPTION DAYS
The BARC team visit local villages on a regular basis, taking along dogs/puppies that are ready for adoption. There are many advantages to going out to the village including:
- The ability to assess the family, along with the home the dogs are being placed in.
- This also supports us when it comes time to go back and check on them, as we already know where they are.
- It means that these dogs/puppies that are already antiquated – so they get to stay close by their friends.
Our adoption team is also very good at, through the interview process, ensuring the right homes are selected. These are often long days and involve a great deal of forward planning and advertising to be successful.
Public Adoption Days
We are also on the look-out for new locations to hold adoption days. Public locations offer the added benefit of raising awareness to expats and locals of adopting with the message ‘Adopt Don’t Shop’.
Our Clinic
Our clinic, located in Ubud, is also open 10am – 5pm, 7 days. We have many people drop by to see the dogs and talk about potential for adoption here as well.
