Lizzy’s rescue story is a sad one, but when we saved her we promised her that she will never have to suffer ever again.
We were alerted about a stray dog who was not only heavily pregnant, but also suffering TVT. It turned out her previous owners left her behind on the street when they moved to another island. As if this wasn’t heartless enough we then found out that as long as these people owned her, she was given traditional alcohol to drink, that made her develop heart and breathing problems.
- Every animal adopted from BARC is desexed*, vaccinated, flea and worm treated, behaviourally assessed and health checked.
