About David

David was living on scraps at Sukawati market. He was skin and bone with barely a hair on his head before his rescue over 12 months ago.

He spent several months at BARC Rehab Centre receiving the right medicines and TLC. Once in top condition he was moved to greener pastures at Warrior’s Legacy BARC Sanctuary to play with his Bali Buddies. But sadly David developed cancerous growths which were only treatable with amputation for his survival.

Last week David had his back leg removed, but to David nothing has changed! He goes about his business as the welcome doggy, bed-tester (he climbs into all the night cages to ensure they are right for our canine kids) and helps himself to the snack bar.

Based on Bali’s limited diagnostic equipment we believe the cancer has not spread. But there is no guarantee. We have all 1200 paws crossed that we got it all and he is on the road to a full recovery.

He will be at BARC Good Karma Rehab Centre for the next few months for close monitoring … and lots of snack time!

Dear Visitor Please note that whilst we endeavour to update these pages as frequently as possible, there is a chance this animal may have been adopted. We cannot put animals on hold over the phone.

Signing up to support David under our virtual adoption program is just like adopting your own dog, without the day to day work involved. Your contribution covers the cost of his care and energetically lets him know that someone out there is holding him in their hearts! You will receive updates and be able to form a bond with David, and if you make it to Ubud, come for a visit.
