At this time we don’t know if he will ever find a permanent home as his skin condition as proven difficult to clear. But, we are still hopeful!

About Nash

Nash was a big boy when rescued from the streets – malnourished and suffering from a long time skin condition. His history means that he is not overly friendly with people – but with a bit more work we are hoping that this will improve. Of course the skin condition is our main concern.

Nash is receiving treatments and slowly but surely his hair is growing back.

We do hope that once his hair is healed we will be able to find Nash a good home, he would make a great guard dog for the right Balinese family.

About Hira

Hira was found back in January 2017. She was staggering the streets, with not a single strand of hair on her body! Suffering from a severe case of mange that, had been left untreated for so long her entire body was crusted over and it was painful to even move.

She has come a long way since then, as you can see from the photos.

Such a sweet girl, excitable, short legged Bali dog. We are hoping that her healing will continue and someone will take a chance on her – offering a forever home. But until that day comes she is safe up at the Sanctuary playing with her friends. She just loves visitors! Particularly when hugs and belly scratches are involved.

About Flea

Found as a 10 day old puppy back in April 2017, with little girl was absolutely covered in with hundreds of fleas all over her. Initially she was named Lucky, but the name Flea seems to have stuck with the staff and this is what she responds to!

She is a very playful, quite hyperactive little girl who loves to play tag – running up and then running away again. Overlooked for adoption because of how timid she is little Flea is living up at the BARC Sanctuary.

We would love little Flea to find her a permanent home, but she would need a patient, caring soul to match with her personality. Until that day she will remain with us.

About Gongong

Gongong got his name as this is what the Balinese call the noise he makes when people come close; gong, gong, gong, gong.

He really is a sweet boy, and slowly but surely is learning to trust human contact, with a limited number of BARC staff. As you can see from the photos below – his hair is slowly – coming back through regular treatments.

About Baksowki

Rescued from the streets Bakowski is now enjoying a relaxing life at the BARC Sanctuary. He is one of our senior dogs and not suitable for adoption.

While he can be really sweet and wagging his tail in one moment, he is just as likely to take a nip in the next! But our Bakowski still deserves the opportunity to live out the rest of his life in relaxation, which is what the Sanctuary offers to this sweet little guy.

He lives out the back near the monkeys, having his own little balcony and safe space. And you will note in the short video clip, that he has occasional monkey visitor from Jackson, who should really be named Houdini!

Your contribution covers the cost of her care, and energetically lets him know that someone out there is sending love her way! You will receive updates and be able to form a bond with him.

And who know, if you make it to Bali you might have the opportunity to come and meet him at the BARC Sanctaury. Although, it is important to be clear that Bakowski is not one of our cuddly dogs, it is unlikely you will be able to touch him, but this doesn’t make him any less lovable in our eyes.

Barloc

Avail for: Virtual Adoption

Age:

Sex: Male

Size: Medium

Colour: Black

Every animal adopted from BARC is desexed*, vaccinated, flea and worm treated, behaviourally assessed and health checked.

*Unless fostered or adopted before of age owners are able to return with their animals during sterilization days”

About Barloc

Barloc was found on the street in Sanur. He was skin and bone, but wearing a collar so at some point he belonged to someone – we’ll never know why he was on the streets and in such bad condition but the way his bones were sticking out, showed he had been without enough good food for a long time.

We nearly missed him as he was curled up, so dirty and small, that he looked like a bag of rubbish. It took some time to catch him, and he took quite some time to rehabilitate… But he is doing really well right now.

We named him Barloc, because it means strong warrior filled with love and hope. His personality will make it difficult for him to be adopted, so we are slowly working on his emotional rehabilitation as well.

At this time Barloc lives up at the BARC Sanctuary, and will remain with us until the day we find someone willing to adopt and care for him, although he could likely end up being a BARC Life-Timer.

Dear Visitor Please note that whilst we endeavour to update these pages as frequently as possible, there is a chance this animal may have been adopted. We cannot put animals on hold over the phone.

VIRTUAL ADOPTION

Signing up to support Barloc under our virtual adoption program is just like adopting your own dog, without the day to day work involved. Your contribution covers the cost of his care and energetically lets him know that someone out there is sending some love his way! You will receive updates and be able to form a bond with Barloc as he recovers. And who knows, maybe one day you will make it to Bali for some cuddle time, if he will let you!
