About Jimmy

Little Jimmy was found alone on the street back in November 2017. He was very scared and his skin badly infected. A lovely local lady was feeding him for a few days but realized he needed medical help ASAP. So she brought him over to BARC.

A few days after his arrival we realized he was in much worse condition than we first suspected! It appears that he has spent most of his life in a cage, his nails were long and his hind legs are also quite stiff and weak.

After being fully vaccinated and sterilized Jimmy is now continuing his recovery at the BARC clinic and learning to socialize with friends. He is also receiving daily colloidal silver gel treatment for his skin. Huge thank your to the Bali dog project for sponsoring this treatment.

His condition is continuing to improve daily, but it may take a little while before this sweet boy finds his forever home. In the meantime, we are so excited to see him learning to trust and interact with the volunteers who visit our clinic.

A male Schnauzer Mix who checked himself into our clinic in Ubud. He’s got skin problems, an eye infection and worms.

We don’t imagine that Sippy will be with us for very long as he is just an adorable, lovely lion! But would love to find him a special someone to help out with his care and rehabilitation while he remains in our care.

He is currently receiving colloidal silver treatment for his skin, proudly sponsored by The Bali Dog Project.

Colour: Grey

Every animal adopted from BARC is desexed*, vaccinated, flea and worm treated, behaviourally assessed and health checked.

*Unless fostered or adopted before of age owners are able to return with their animals during sterilization days”

About Sooki

Sooki was spotted curled up on the side of the road by Linda (BARC founder) and her niece Andrea. Not able to drive past a dog in distress they pulled over, scooped him up and took him to Sunset Vet for treatment.

This poor older boy has had a home at some point in his life but has clearly been trying to survive on the streets for a while now. He was a mess! Yet another western breed dog, we believe he may be a schnauzer, in dreadful condition.

Sunset Vet provided his initial treatment and testing. His hair, too matted to save, has been clipped. Undernourished he needs some good food, nutrients and a lot of love!

Sooki will receive treatment, rehabilitation and then we hope this friendly boy will find his loving forever home.

Lupita is one of the most beautiful girls you will ever have the pleasure of meeting! She is an older dog, who has previously struggled with cancer and been successfully treated. She loves people and we would love to see Lupita in a home where she can just chill, relax and be around people who love her!

She is good on a lead, good with other dogs, once she knows where home is she does not wander far without her humans. Currently Lupita is the office dog at the Sanctuary and welcomes all of our new guests, spending most of her time sleeping soundly, surrounded by all of the activities and goings on.

Will you take a chance on our beautiful Lupita and offer her a forever home?

About Suzy

This little cutie, while having a highly adoptable personality, has continued to suffer from demodectic mange. The team are currently working hard to get her in as good a condition as they possibly can, then we hope to find a stress free forever home for her. Even if this means we need to provide her with skin treatments for the rest of her life. A loving, stress free, family environment is what would work best for this little girl.

Until that day comes, would you consider being Suzy’s guardian?

She just loves to play with her best friend Mambal, up at the BARC Sanctuary.

Princess Anya

Avail for: Adoption/Virtual Adoption

Age: 4 months

Sex: Female

Size: Small

Colour: Brown/Black

Every animal adopted from BARC is desexed*, vaccinated, flea and worm treated, behaviourally assessed and health checked.

*Unless fostered or adopted before of age owners are able to return with their animals during sterilization days”

About Princess Anya

Princess Anya is new arrival. Still at Sunset Vet, amputation to occur within next couple of days. We need funds (VA/F) Below is what I wrote for the fundraising kita bisa page.

Story:

Made and the BARC team had just returned from a long day fencing and improving shelters for the animals in our care, when a caring local lady arrived nursing yet another puppy.

Her sharing was heart-wrenching… This puppy had just been hit by a motorbike, then some unthinking folks who were nearby had started throwing the poor girl around, she was howling in pain. Our caring friend ran over and stopped them, scooping the puppy up and taking it away. It is sad to think that in this day and age people continue to engage in these acts of cruelty.

BARC’s resources are already at our limit; with over 350 animals already in our care, a vet bill of over 40 million for this month and our staff already focusing on improving the standard of life for all residents. But… Just look into that face…

It was impossible for Made to say no to this call for help!

We rushed her up to Sunset Vet. X-rays revealed that she has fractures in her right front foot (metacarpal area) and her left back leg (right pelvic and sub luxation right caput femoral). She needs to remain at the vet clinic with some pain relief and under observation until the swelling goes down a little. Then, she will require surgery to amputate the back leg. And some post surgery care. Once through these steps it will be time to vaccinate, sterilise and hopefully find a loving home.

We have named her “Princess Anya”, which means “Inexhaustible, Limitless, resurrection” and seemed very fitting for this little warrior.

Please donate to help Anya receive the surgery she desperately needs, her resurrection and second chance at a loving life…
